PBS FRONTLINE: Digital Nation - Life on the Virtual Frontier

I was approached by a Producer from Frontline, the flagship current-affairs documentary program on PBS. He stated that they were currently working on a documentary film called Digital Nation: Life on the Virtual Frontier, in which they would be examining life in the digital age. They purchased the rights to use a couple of my images in a photo-montage sequence conveying the fast pace of life in the modern age. Being a huge fan of Frontline, I was happily surprised and quite enthusiastic about the opportunity.

The images they chose were from a series I took in Tokyo's busy Shibuya neighborhood. It's a really energetic part of the city, populated primarily by Tokyo's youth. The intersection right outside Shibuya Station is one of the busiest places in the world.

Digital Nation  premiered February 2nd, 2010 at 9pm on PBS. The film can also be ordered via PBS, and additionally can be viewed online. They built an interactive website around the film, complete with a robust discussion area examining the various issues.
